Why Accurate Prayer Times Matter

Performing Salah at its prescribed time is one of the most important pillars of Islam. Our platform uses high-precision astronomical calculations to provide you with the exact timings for your city, ensuring you never miss a prayer.

We support different calculation methods including the Muslim World League, Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), and more. You can also toggle between Hanafi and Shafi madhabs for Asr prayer timings.

Prayer Times by City

Muslims Watch provides accurate prayer times (Salah/Namaz) for more than 150 major cities across the Middle East, South Asia, Africa, Europe, North America and Australia. Each city page shows today's Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha timings, sunrise and sunset, the current Hijri date, the calculation method and the Asr madhab used. If your city is not listed, use the home page to detect your exact location automatically.

How are the prayer times calculated?

Times are calculated with high-precision astronomical formulae using your city's coordinates, then adjusted for its timezone. The default method is Muslim World League (MWL), and you can switch between the Hanafi and Shafi Asr calculations.

Why do prayer times differ between cities?

Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha depend on the sun's position, which changes with latitude and longitude. Cities further from the equator, or in different time zones, therefore see different timings on the same day.

Is there a monthly or yearly timetable?

The city pages show today's schedule and the Hijri date. For a full month view, open the Islamic calendar, and for Ramadan-specific Iftar and Suhoor times use the Fasting tracker.
